From the Airport
Ampugnano Airport is located 9 km from Siena. A shuttle service connection, offered by TRA-IN, is currently available between the airport and Piazza Gramsci. Alternatively a taxi journey should cost around 15 Euros.

City Buses

Siena urban buses are run by TRA-IN. The buses generally start  from the city centre and from the train station and cover all urban areas. Ticket can be purchased at the train station. Opening hours: Monday through Saturday: 5.50 am to 8 pm, Sundays and holidays from 7.20 am to 1 pm and from 3.40 pm to 8 pm. In the pedestrian underpass at La Lizza square. Opening hours: every day from 5.50 am to 8 pm and  at Tabacconist shops and many newsagents. Single tickets and also cheaper 10 ride tickets are available Tickets are only valid if you have them validated by the small orange machines located in the bus.

By Train
Daily connections with local, regional and national destinations. The train station in Siena is located approximately 2 km from Siena's historical centre. It's a five minute bus ride from the city centre to the train station and buses leave regularly from Piazza del Sale.

By Coach
A regional bus service is offered by two major companies: TRA-IN and LAZZI, therefore the fees can vary slightly. Lazzi coaches cover all cities in Tuscany.
The company called "TraIn-SITA" offers direct bus connections to Florence, to many other cities in the area and, during summer, to the beach resorts of Follonica and Castiglione della Pescaia.
